MACC Director Gordon Stevenson was proud to represent Machrihanish at Farnborough International Airshow 2026, highlighting the unique opportunities our community-owned site offers to the aerospace, defence and space sectors.
Throughout the event, Gordon spoke about Machrihanish’s exceptional strategic advantages, including one of the UK’s longest runways, extensive development land, uncongested airspace and Atlantic-facing location. He also shared how these assets position Machrihanish to support the next generation of aerospace innovation, including opportunities for spaceflight and launch operations through projects such as Invictus.
As a community-owned business park, our ambition is to create high-quality jobs, attract inward investment and deliver long-term economic growth for Kintyre. Events like Farnborough provide an invaluable opportunity to build relationships, promote what Machrihanish has to offer and demonstrate why our site is an ideal location for future aerospace and space activity.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with Gordon during the week. We look forward to developing these conversations and welcoming new partners to Machrihanish.
