MACC Business Park is currently renovating one of our many accommodation blocks to continue supporting the R&D businesses and site events we hold annually in support of our mission to increase economic development in Kintyre. This facility has been in use for several years supporting large inward investment projects such as repowering of wind farms, filming projects such as Channel 4’s “Pile Up: World’s Biggest Crash Test” and the annual MACH Stages Rally to name a few. The renovation of this building will strengthen the sites offering to attract other inward investment to Campbeltown with projects such as Invictus, which we were shortlisted for last year https://www.esa.int/Enabling_Support/Space_Engineering_Technology/Shaping_the_Future/Two_UK_sites_shortlisted_for_INVICTUS_hypersonic_test_programme.
MACC are committed to ensuring that the accommodation is not used to detract from the local hotels, B&Bs or short term lets and merely used as an overflow.
We understand there have questions raised regarding the future utility of accommodation on MACC Business Park. We have NOT been identified as a location scaled for supporting the temporary/permanent housing of non UK nationals.
